INGREDIENTS:Untreated cedar planks
2lbs salmon fillets
Marinade:
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon minced garlic (use garlic power if you don't have this)
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
DIRECTIONS:
First soak your planks in water for 2 hours, longer if you can.
Mix together all the ingredients in the marinade and pour over salmon to coat. Marinate in the fridge for minimum of 20 minutes.
Take the planks out of the water and add a little oil to the top surface. Remove salmon from the marinate and place skin side down on the planks.
EZ Grill:
Light EZ Grill and wait until the flames die down.
Place plank with salmon on the grill and place some aluminum foil over the top
Cook for about 20 minutes.
Oven:
Light oven to 350 degrees. Place planks with salmon on them on a cookie sheet. Place in oven uncovered for about 25 minutes.
Fish is done when you can flake it with a fork.
